2008 Acura RSX | Bass-Heavy Audio Build Meets Show-Car Performance
This latest project features a 2008 Acura RSX that breaks expectations in the best way possible. While the RSX isn’t commonly associated with heavy bass builds, this customer came in with a clear vision: full audio presence in a fully built performance car.
The system centers around four 8-inch CT Sounds subwoofers, each rated at 800 watts RMS. Fitting this level of output into the limited space of an RSX required a fully custom approach. We designed and fabricated a custom bass enclosure with a 2-to-1 chamber layout, carefully engineered to house all four subwoofers while maintaining proper airflow and efficiency.
To elevate the presentation, the enclosure was built with acrylic panels and integrated lighting, allowing the system to be seen as much as it’s heard. The interior of the enclosure was wrapped in brown leather, matching the vehicle’s interior and tying the audio build into the rest of the car’s aesthetic. The port was designed to face inward, adding both acoustic control and a unique visual element.
Powering the system is a full Rockford Fosgate amplifier setup, delivering clean, reliable power across the entire audio system.
What truly sets this build apart is the vehicle itself.
Under the hood, the RSX features a K-series turbo setup with an extremely clean engine bay. From the custom wire tuck to the stainless steel fabrication and welding, every detail was executed at a show-car level. Finished in Lamborghini orange, the exterior and engine bay already command attention — but completing the trunk audio setup transformed the car into a full-blown show build.
Fast car. Loud audio. Bass-head energy.
