2004 Scion xB “EMAN BASS” | Extreme Audio Build
This 2004 Scion xB, owned by EMAN BASS, is not a normal build — and it was never meant to be.
This project represents years of planning, fabrication, testing, and refinement, and it’s now entering its final stages. The goal from day one was simple: maximum output, controlled design, and a purpose-built audio vehicle.
At the core of the build is a fully custom bass enclosure measuring approximately 14 cubic feet, engineered to house four 15-inch FI Audio subwoofers. The enclosure is tuned to 27Hz, allowing the system to move massive amounts of air while maintaining low-frequency authority and musicality.
To support the enclosure properly, the vehicle was walled off at the B-pillars, permanently sealing the rear of the cabin and converting the Scion xB into a two-seater configuration. This structural approach ensures enclosure integrity, efficiency, and safety while maximizing output potential.
Up front, no factory components remain untouched.
We fabricated the front door panels completely from scratch, designing them to support an extreme mid-bass and high-frequency setup. Each door features:
-
Three 10-inch PRV midrange speakers
-
Four tweeters
-
Two high-frequency drivers
The door panels were then hand-wrapped in brown leather and brown suede, blending raw performance with a custom, show-level finish. The result is a front stage capable of keeping up with the rear bass wall — both visually and sonically.
In the rear, LED lighting was integrated into the bass enclosure to highlight the scale, structure, and craftsmanship of the build, bringing the system to life during demos and shows.
This Scion xB isn’t just loud — it’s designed to move serious air. Known for its insane output and visual presence, it’s shaping up to be one of the most aggressive demo vehicles we’ve built. Hair trick? Guaranteed.
At Serious Innovations, projects like this push the boundaries of what’s possible in car audio fabrication. This build is a testament to long-term vision, commitment, and execution at the highest level.
