12V Installer & Fabricator (Master Technician)

📍 Location: Passaic, NJ
💰 Pay: $17/hour
⏳ Schedule: Part-Time (Monday–Friday, some Saturdays)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced 12V Installer & Fabricator to join our growing automotive electronics and customization shop. You will be responsible for installing car audio systems, alarms, remote start, tracking devices, and custom LED lighting, as well as building custom bass boxes, subwoofer enclosures, and interior panels using fabrication tools. This person should be able to run a team and guide and train the JR Tech. They should also be able to understand and use Trello, Google Docs, Google Calendar, etc.

Responsibilities:

⚡ 12V Installation

-Install and troubleshoot car alarms, remote start, GPS tracking, and 12V accessories.

-Perform car audio installs (stereos, amps, subwoofers, speakers, sound dampening, DSP tuning, etc.).

-Run and organize wiring harnesses to ensure a clean install.

-Install LED lighting, ambient lighting, and underglow.

-Diagnose electrical issues using a multimeter and proper troubleshooting techniques.

🛠 Fabrication & Custom Builds (Optional but Preferred)

-Build and install custom bass boxes, speaker enclosures, and trunk setups.

-Use MDF, acrylic, and fiberglass for enclosures and custom panels.

-Operate fabrication tools, including:
✅ Table saw, router, jigsaw, orbital sander
✅ Flush trim, round-over, and rabbeting router bits
✅ Wood glue, clamps, and finishing tools

-Apply carpeting, vinyl, or paint finishes for a clean, professional look.

Qualifications:

✅ 2+ years of experience in 12V installation or car audio customization.
✅ Strong knowledge of car wiring, electrical diagrams, and soldering.
✅ Experience using fabrication tools (table saw, router, jigsaw, sander, etc.) is a huge plus.
✅ Ability to build clean subwoofer enclosures and trim panels.
✅ Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop.
✅ Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
✅ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
